Stoked to get outside and try some new things...jamming and locking, two sometimes three fingers into a crack Geordi makes this climb look easy.
Unreal sunset in Milan tonight.... I’ve never seen anything like it.

"I have always liked quiet people. You never know if they're simply dancing in a daydream or carrying the weight of the world."
"We are but dust and shadow." #burningman2017
@ajvalen2 Thanks for the adventure!
Heading out for Black Rock City today. Come find me on the playa as I will be gifting selected prints from the past year of travels. #burningman2017
"El tigre vive en la selva,
El zorro en la cueva ajena
Y en su destino inconstante,
Solo el gaucho vive errante
Donde la suerte lo lleva"
"The tiger lives in the jungle,
The fox in another's cave
And in his fickle fate/erratic destinations,
Only the nomad lives wandering
Where luck takes him"

Hidden deep within Uganda's Impenetrable Forest are families of Mountain gorillas. This silverback, specifically, was over 500 pounds and has a family of 17. They truly are beautiful creatures...
After watching a couple of lionesses and their cubs for quite some time our safari guide wanted to "check the tires." Good thing he looked in the grass before stepping out of the car. This guy and several other cubs were hidden completely out of site with the rest of the pride.
On the Serengeti, 3 cheetah cubs wait as their mom scopes out the gazelle nearby. Moments after this photo was taken the whole family took off to chase down dinner.
Early in the morning, as I headed for the summit, I could not tell where the hikers' head lamps ended and the stars began... Mt. Kilimanjaro
"Develop an interest in life as you see it; the people, things, literature, music - the world is so rich, simply throbbing with rich treasures, beautiful souls and interesting people." #pastelskies
"I have known that same fear and uncertainty often since then; but I've found that feeling, both uncomfortable and exciting, is where I learn and grow. It's a place where my experiences are broadened, my mind sharpened and my heart strengthened. In the fog or the waves, or in the presence of greater larger beings, I have seen this to be true: That a safe and predictable world, stripped of the unknown, would be a world left much the poorer."
I had a revaluation this week involving the ocean and its importance in my life...growing up I was always drawn to the mountains and the stillness they bring. It wasn't until recently, realistically until I picked up the surfing addiction, that I realized how important the balance between the calming mountains and the sheer raw power the ocean brings. Every time I step foot into the salty water I am humbled by it.
